Scan tool software is basically not developed for this model to be able to perform the listed menu function

Did you ever get an answer? I'm in the same situation now the selected function is not supported by ECU.

At minimum I usually try to,maintain battery, clear codes,  repair communication issues and make sure all the live data of an ECU displays properly before I try to run any special functions from the ECU.
If the car is over 10 years old and your specific issue for a specific function that does not work has been reported over 2 years ago and hasn't been resolved yet with a software update yet, chances are it will never be fixed unless Autel pays the licensing fees to be able to restore the court contested OE function back to the tool.
Check Function viewer , if what you are trying to do is not specifically listed for your make , model , and year, chances are the selected menu function won't work when you  try it on a vehicle it isn't listed for.
